Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. - Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly.
- Shape the Cookies:
Scoop the cookie dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined air fryer basket or tray. Leave space between each ball to allow for spreading. - Bake in the Air Fryer:
Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C) if your model allows preheating. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown on the edges. - Cool and Serve:
Allow the cookies to cool in the basket for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For softer cookies, slightly underbake them and let them cool in the air fryer.
- You can customize these cookies by adding nuts, white chocolate chips, or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days
