Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Base and Top Layer:
    • 2 cans crescent roll dough
  2. For the Cheesecake Filling:
    • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese (softened)
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  3. For the Topping:
    • 1/2 cup melted butter
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oven and Pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • Layer the Dough:
Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, stretching it to fit.
  • Make the Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spread this filling evenly over the first layer of dough.
  • Add the Top Layer:
Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the cream cheese layer. Stretch it gently to cover the filling completely.
  • Add the Topping:
Brush the top layer of dough with melted butter. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle it generously over the buttered dough.
  • Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and puffed.
  • Cool and Serve:
Allow the churro cheesecake to cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • You can drizzle caramel sauce on top for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
